Things To Do Around Borthwick Castle

Things to see and do

Borthwick Castle is ideally situated in the heart of the countryside but within half an hour's drive of Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh.

Walking

A short walk from the Castle you can explore Currie Wood. Cared for by the Woodland Trust, this ancient planted woodland is a hidden treasure of local and regional significance for wildlife. A footbridge over the Middleton South Burn and a series of boardwalks through the wetter areas enable visitors to complete a satisfying circular route round the wood.
